Baddeck is situated in the heart of Cape Breton Island, considered to be the beginning and end of the world famous Cabot Trail. This picturesque and vibrant little village is located right in the heart of Cape Breton Island set on the shores of the great inland sea known as the Bras d'Or Lakes.
Most of the footage for this 4K drone video was captured at dawn. That means that I had to get up just before sunrise, which was just before 4:30 a.m. It was definitely worth it – not just for the early morning light but to see the birds and sea life come to life. I hope I was able to cinematize the magic of Percé Rock in the morning within these 3 min 56 sec.

As I was making my way along Iceland’s Route 1 this morning, I saw a sign for an upcoming tunnel. I read about Almannaskarðsgöng a few months ago but I had forgotten about it. It’s actually refreshing not remembering every detail from travel websites and books and “discovering” something on your own.
The tunnel is located near Höfn (Hornafjörður) in Austurland in eastern Iceland. The tunnel measures 1312 metres exactly in length and was opened on June 24, 2005. The tunnel passes through narrow and steep pass between Hornafjörður and Lón district.
