With a high of a warm 26°C and clear skies today, what a beautiful summer day it was to go for a Saturday morning drive and visit Amusé Coffee Co. in Peterborough, Ontario, Canada.
The owner, Lindsay Brock, touts the café as
Peterborough’s cheerful and charming new addition to the vibrant local cafe scene. Inspired by French cafes, Amusé celebrates European cafe culture, marrying new trends with tradition.
Amusé Coffee Co. is one of the leading cafes in Peterborough, owing to its picturesque ambience, and although a small menu, excellent food. I’ve heard of Amusé Coffee Co. quite a lot but never had the chance to visit it, so when I finally had an opportunity, I was thrilled!
You’ll discover the perfect collection of Fair Trade Organic whole bean coffee, premium loose tea and matcha, and you’ll love a full range of espresso based and alternative hot and cold beverages, which are perfectly complimented by light French-inspired fare for the ultimate Parisian café experience.
Over the past six years, I have visited Paris five times. My trips have been focussed mainly on travel photography assignments and, recently, publishing the coffee table book, Paris: Photography by David Sornberger. Although I might not be able to simply snap my fingers and be transported to Paris at my whim, I do have a more local escape – Amusé Coffee Co.
So, if you have an opportunity to visit, Amusé Coffee Co., go for it! And if you’re not in this part of the world, live the experience vicariously through Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook. They truly do celebrate coffee as a social tradition, with a twist and a bit of sass!
